Immigration Visa Fees Increased PDF Print E-mail

Beginning March 8, 2005 the Immigrant Visa application fee will increase by an additional $45 or will now cost $380 per applicant.

Applicants, who previously paid the $335 Visa application fee to the National Visa Center, will have to pay the surcharge of $45 at the Embassy when they come for their visa interview.

The new Immigrant Visa fee apply to all applicants for Immigrant Visas and may not be waived regardles of any circumstances.

The increase, which is authorized by the Consolidated Appropriations Act 2005 will be used to cover the cost of consular services associated with the enhancement of broder security and client servicing as mandated by U.S. Law.
