In 2021, Emmanuel Agida briefly served in the Osun State Government of Nigeria as a public relations strategist in the Office of the Commissioner, State Ministry of Women and Children Affairs. At that time, he was recognized as the youngest political officeholder in the country's history. He introduced key reforms that enhanced public engagement and citizens' participation in policy processes at the agency level.
